Children of the discordance x Yamaha Motor

“Over”

今期 Children of the discordanc は、ヤマハ発動機とコラボレーションしたプロジェクトを発表します。

“Over”という作品は、ヤマハ発動機独自の開発思想「人機官能」にインスパイアを受けプロダクト製作。フューエルタンクやシート、フェンダー、タイヤ等がまとったバイク用のアーマーは、ミリタリーのディテールを使用したボディバッグやバックパックとして、ライダー自身もファッションとして機能的に身に着けることができる。

ヤマハ発動機から提供していただいたのは 1978年のリリース以来、多くのファンに愛され続けるビッグシングル「SR500」及び「SR400」。

解体再構築のプロダクトを作る手法でパッチワークとグラフィティテキスタイルを用いて”纏う”と”可能性を超えていく”というコンセプトをもとに製作を進めました。Vintage マテリアルを使用し、ハンドペインティングなどのクラシックな手法を取りつつハイブリットな作品にしています。

「Over」は、Paris Fashion Week, Paris men’s（6月20～25日）の会期中、「Children of the discordance 2020 S/S Exhilaration」の会場でローンチされる。

“OVER”

This season, Children of the discordance and Yamaha Motor will be presenting a collaboration project, “OVER”, drew inspiration from Yamaha Motor’s unique development idea, “Jin-ki Kanno”, the seductive exhilaration of being one with the machine.

Fuel tank, seat, fender and the tires armed with body bags and back packs created with military details which allows the rider to function these to their fashion statement.

Yamaha Motor supplied their SR500 and SR 400 which has been one of their signature product released first in 1978.

Working with the concept of going beyond the limitation of “sewing”, dismantling and reconstruction technique using vintage patch work and grafitti textiles created with basic classic technique of hand printing merged with the machine created its very own hybrid product.
